My name is Sónia Alves and I am a visual designer based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Design is my passion and has been since I can remember. I’ve always been captivated by the power that imagery has on communication and its impact on the people it touches.

About this project
The purpose of this project was to convey all the concepts that refer to the Portuguese countryside region in a stunning online presence. The new website is now mobile ready and exudes the charming atmosphere that can be found in Monte do Ramalho.

Sónia is a rare breed! She built a site for my company that not only had a beautiful design but was built by my specs for easy cloning ability. I know that Webflow is designed for easy cloning but the way she designed and wired it in the CMS, makes it very easy to clone and make minor changes and have a new site! And on top of that, her customer service is par excellence!

About this project
The concept behind this project consisted in developing a design that could function as a template, with the purpose to be cloned and included as part of a service provided by ECOnLOCAL to its clients. The main challenge was to make it fully customisable, so that each new site could have a distinct charm and appeal.

How I Work

I like to offer my prospective clients a heads up about the way I work and what they can expect from me.

The Focus is on YOU

You have a project and you decide to send me an email with your request. From here on, all the focus is on YOU: Who you are, what is your business, your vision and your goals.

To get a clear insight about your project, I'll reply requesting detailed information. Your answers will be the guidelines through the process and are crucial to start a discussion about your project.

Feedback and Project Insights

During this first direct contact we’ll be sharing ideas about your project and ultimately, finding out if we are the perfect match to make it a success.

Proposal: Quote and delivery

After knowing your project details, I’ll send you a proposal with a quote and estimated time to completion. 

Upon your acceptance, we’ll be ready to start!

Research and Concept

A strong concept is only possible to achieve with a clear insight about your identity, market and your competitors. In order to present you with a layout, I'll start by dedicating some time to research.

Also, before I start building your design, I'll ask you for all the project materials: Logo, text, photos and navigation structure.

Design & Reviews

This is the creative stage, where all that information comes together visually. I'll send you a design proposal for the first design review.

All projects have 3 free design reviews. Be as clear as you can to communicate your ideas, thoughts or any necessary changes.

Finish & Launch

With the final design approved, I'll implement the last changes and final settings. With those in place your new site will be ready to launch.

"Can I updated my website?"

Yes, we can discuss the implementation of a Content Management System (CMS) on your website, so that you can have access to the site content.

This will allow you to keep your site updated or include a blog if you'd like, but the access to the layout will be restricted, in order to keep the site integrity and prevent any loss of functionality.

"Do I have to host my site with you?"

You are free to choose whatever hosting solution you'd like. If you decide to host your site on your server or with another provider, I'll send you all the project files & coding, ready to be published on your server or to be delivered to a developer.

If you decide to keep the hosting and maintenance with me, we can agree on a monthly subscription to cover all the technicalities such as: hosting, maintenance, backups & platform updates.

Payment conditions

To launch your project I require a 50% deposit (based on the total cost) and a signed contract. This will reserve your place in my project schedule.

When the final design is approved I'll send you an invoice requesting the final 50±% payment. Site delivery to follow immediately after payment.

Payment options

I use Paypal as my preferred payment method.

If you don't have a Paypal account or prefer other payment option instead, let me know and we will find another payment solution.
